The most important thing in the world

No I am not going to get soppy.  This is about the only thing that you truly need to succeed.

Confidence.

I finally took the step I perhaps should have taken ages ago and joined a serious raiding guild (full story – and then some – coming soon).  First raid is tomorrow.  I am excited, and nervous.  Its been a while since I have been so keyed up for a raid.

See in my mind I have been ready, more than ready, for this step for quite some time.   I think my numbers and my performance are as good as anyone I know.  Now, I’ve gotta prove that I can do it to a whole new bunch of raiders.  People who have never seen me raid before, who didn’t know me when I did 1k dps in my very first kara run.  People who haven’t seen me solo heal Hodir 10s or phase 2 of Thaddeus.  People who are used to, and expect, high performance.

I’m nervous, no two ways about it.  I think until I get in there and do it I will be nervous.   Damned if I am going to show it though – I am going to step up and take the first charge so to speak.  If there is one thing I’ve learned, that has been beaten into my brain by every girl who turned me down, every task I’ve failed, its that the most important thing you can have is confidence in your ability.   Believe in what you have to offer.  Expect that you will succeed at whatever you set your mind to.

I’ve looked at WWS of my new guild, focussing especially on the pallies.  I think that I will offer something to this guild.  I know I am good enough for this.

And I can’t wait to prove it.

Thanks – its been fantastic thus far. Just one more raid tonight and I’ll probably be passed the embarrassing bit where I get new achievements on old content.
